Notice the media was right on this derailment and mild disappoinment no fireballs. You all can go home now. Looks like a mess NS will have 

cleared out of way in 24hrs. The video I saw it looked like a broken rail about the middle of that grade crossing started the derailment. 

Tomorrow we will know more.

The Conductor getting kilt is a pretty freak accident. Riding the shove and get clipped by a big truck.
The Conductor doing everything right and a truck driver doing wrong. Just sad.

Was he in the industry. I believe on the CSX, they don't allow them to ride the shoves across road crossing in an industry...

Toward the end of my ground work I got to where I did not ride anything at all. I walked to where I wanted the move to come to and then called him back.

CSX won't let you ride a tank car on a shove across a road, I know that one cold.

Has anybody seen any reference in the media to LAMCO making "Safety Fourth"? I thought by now that there'd be some hard-hitting PSR Safety Fourth coverage and how they've fallen from FAKEST SAFEST to the Pariah of Big Railroads.

Funny story about the image on p. 13 of that pdf.

First spelling of presence was "presents", then "presance", then presence. I told them that its 'its' is missing its apostrophe and should be 'it's', tu. I think it fried their safety circuits. They were already overloaded from the thick cumshakes they were drinking on the Mark-Me-Off-For-The-Money Committee.
