MRL is not spared in the derailment spree around the USA. Speculation is a rock came down or a "soft spot" at this location reported by MRL train crews for last month.
What has spilt into the river is "cans of beer" from a mangled boxcar. Ironically this is not the first derailment on the MRL where beercans ended up in the river.
