Its hard to believe a train engineer could get kilt by freight car but thats what happened.

At my job briefing on last trip....trainmonster came in to give us the usual chit chat and brought this up.....at the time she thought it was a trainman on the ground who was run over by his own cut of cars....bad to incomplete info, but the right info is terrible nonetheless, maybe worse in that the cab should have protected this man some.....such things never fail to have my heart skipping beats....

One wonders, was the other job a remote control job, was the track shoved out or rolled out, we used to warn crews on the other end all the time and would frequently protect each others shoves.

Local A80 was switching from the East end of the yard.

Chances are it wasnt a remote job, but contractually possible.
