I retired in 1999 and havent met anyone I would call a friend locally. Maybe because I'm an introvert.

I don't often just hang with friends but I keep in contact with a few everyday or week. Out of the blue I will call someone just to say hello if I see or hear something about them. Just a blast from the past. Otherwise, I am so busy with grandkids and kids. I am the chore guy, the one that gives rides, picks up stuff etc. Takes there cars to get inspected and such. I am useful. It isn't time yet to set me afloat out on an iceberg.
