There I was at North Pole Alaska on.a layover for some of many missions. My boss, a true Evangelical believer but who wasn't one of those pain in the asses type had keys to one of two vehicles issued to us. It was winter in central Alaska where the day time temperature would maybe get to -20 degrees American. Not much to the town really. I drove to the Christmas store since Pat was all into that. Next door was a bar and strip joint that served food. All went well, sent some post cards and drove back to the base. A week later after arriving at home station in New Jersey, I got called into the office of the First Sergeant who was actually my first boss in California when I was a jet engine mechanic. He told me we were turned in for improper use of a government vehicle. I asked him if it was okay if we went to the strip club instead since they served food? He said sure. I just told him it would never happen again..... Of course nothing came of it, we all knew it was silly. I am just having one of those memories of my time in the AF.
