This is how I know that the Apocalypse is upon us. This morning I was driving home after midnight listening to the Coast to Coast show. Even though I am avoiding politics and news and talk radio, I figured it would be okay to listen to the Coast to Coast show because they stay away from politalk, right? Wrong.

This obviously overboard redneck from Alabama called in and asked the host what he made of the photos of Obama in his muslim get up with the funny hat and the cape. This woman called herself Fanny, and her accent and manner of speaking was SO OVERDONE that anyone listening critically would know that she was putting on a skit for all of us. She then laid out a complex plot in which B.O. was a foreign agent of a massive muslim conspiracy to take over America and blow us all up.

None of this surprised me, because this is the standard thing you get on this show. You get people calling in talking about hauntings, demon possessions, extraterrestrial visitors and modern day dinosaur sightings. There are regular guests who talk all about the conspiracy of the Illuminati, the Trilateral Commission and the New World Order. During these phone calls, ALL disbelief is suspended, and the host will act as if he believes every word of it. If you call in and tell him you just sprouted horns and a tail, he'll ask you how long your new horns are and what color your tail is, and then he'll say, "Interesting development, thanks for calling and please, keep us posted about any new appendages you may notice."

So, when "Fanny" was done laying out her conspiracy theory, I was expecting the host to indulge her just like he does everyone else, but instead, I heard something I've NEVER heard on this show before. The host ridiculed Fanny for calling in and saying something outrageous and for not having any proof to back up her claims. If ANYONE on that show ever demanded any proof about anything the callers said, the show would've been over immediately, because the entire show is based on crazy people calling in with unbelievable stories and the host listening and accepting what they say without any doubt. Having the host of the Coast to Coast Show question the claims of a caller is about the same as a "reporter" for the National Enquirer refusing to submit a story because there isn't enough corroborating evidence to support the story. It just doesn't happen.

This isn't about whether or not B.O. is a muslim, because I don't care. This is about B.O.'s immunity from any and all criticism. This is about B.O. being unassailable. This is about the fact that even Joan Rivers and Triumph The Insult Comic Dog would probably refuse to make fun of B.O. NO politician in history has ever enjoyed this sort of protection from ridicule.

This is how I know that the Apocalypse is upon us; this is how I know for a FACT that B.O. is the Anti-Christ. It was foretold in the bible that there would be such a man and that he would rise to power from out of nowhere, and that the entire world would love him and worship him. I've been away from the church for a couple of decades now, and I never thought I'd return, but after hearing the host of the Coast to Coast Show refuse to believe someone's outrageous claim because of a lack of proof, I am ready to accept every unbelievable claim of the Christian church.
