Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader is headed to Seattle next week.

He's holding a rally at Town Hall Seattle at 1119 Eighth Avenue on Oct. 21 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is a suggested donation of $10 or $5 for students. You can reserve spots here.

Nader, of course, is a noted political figure and consumer advocate who's been running campaigns on the fringes of American politics for the past few election cycles. He's perhaps best known for being a "spoiler" during the 2000 presidential elections, when he received just under 3 percent of the vote. Some Al Gore supporters have long claimed that if he had endorsed Gore over George W. Bush, their candidate would have won.

National polls project him as having anywhere from 1 to 4 percent of the vote this year. Bizarrely, Newsweek says he's actually siphoning independent-minded voters away from McCain this time.
