Thanks Snip. I did Gargle that...several times. Saw TWO of the 'test' clips, but the third one, in the shop was new ta me.

Those guys ralk way too fast for me...and I do understand Portugese, as spoken in Mozambique. Another dialect.

Anyway...we're getting closer. My gut sez gen-set type. But...ridin' on EMD trucks/motors!

Which is what most remanufacturers of gen-set switchers use. The carbodies vary, controls are ususally 26-L, power? CAT, Cummins, Detroit, Volvo-Penta...

Nope. The guy who shot the pics..? I asked him, what the unit might be... His pics were on some pic site, so I asked. He said something like a three-gen set unit, on a U-boat frame.

Home road build. Various leftover stuff, plus new/rebuilt stuff. Brazil has plenty of oil, but runs most cars on sugar cane alcohol, and reserves their oil for heavy duty stuff, like big trucks, and railroad use.

That's all...

The Milwaukee Road around the Northwest was
refered to as the "Wooden Axel". Implying a close
resemblence to the wagon train days.
