HAHA! Some good shit Cal! What a smashing good time that was. My brother (who is a Cowboys fan) and I had a ball. We arrived late Friday night and you could tell the city was ready for the big game. We went out Saturday night down to Carson St. to hit the few watering holes and the atmosphere was electric. There was a fair amount of Cowboys fans there so my brother didn't feel so out of place.

Sunday morning arrives and we prepare for the big game. We knew it was going to be cold so we brought plenty of gear to keep warm. Boy it was COLD too! All that gear was worth every penny. Only my toes got cold but not enough to make you want to leave. There was a shirtless dude in the section next to us who dumped a bucket of ice cold water on himself. It was absolutely crazy and the crowd went bonkers. I just saw the showed a clip of that on ESPN. The locals who were there told me this guy does this at every home game. Made me shiver watching it.

Anyway the best part of the game other than the Steelers winning, was that most of the action was on our end of the field. I tried not to get too excited as to not to piss off my brother too much but when Deshea intercepted that pass and scored the go ahead touchdown I couldn't contain myself. It was the only time I stoop up and cheered. So much that my throat hurts from screaming in the extreme cold. The whole stadium was rocking. It was awesome! Nothing like a game at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh!

In the end, my brother was a good sport and my fellow Steeler brethren showed a lot of class. Sure they heckled him a little but it never came close to threating. Not even a smidgen. We both had a great time and will try to head to Big D when the Steelers play there in 2012. I got some good pics and vids too that I'll post later tonight.

Big game for the Steelers next week. Win and they win the AFC North. Going to be difficult though against that steller Baltimore defense at M&T

Here is one pic before the game. It's Bad Ass Jeff Reed who warms up with nothing on but a t-shirt!

Why is the bumblebee guy playing with the Blueboys in that picture?

I thought bumblebees were supposed to stick with bumble bees.

So, what I want to know is, do you actually tell people your brother is a Cowboys fan? Which is worse, having a brother who is a Cowboys fan or having a brother who works for, well, you know who? Which of the two of you hangs his head in shame? Inquiring minds are wanting to know.

Snippy doesn't blame Sluggo for not taking a picture of the family pariah.

Even Cowgirls get the blues.

Video files were too large to upload. I noticed Jerry Jones wasn't on the sidelines yesterday. Hmmm!

Nice pics, you had some good seats. I like the one with Byron Leftwich.

Thanks. I would've liked to have taken more but it was so cold that you couldn't keep your gloves more than 2 minutes.

Havn't been to Heinz field. Man, how time flies! I used ta go about 4 times a year when I was at my last job. I was always there to watch the DAWGS get thier ass kicked. I remember the sign boards PennDot used to put out on the Turnpike that read.."Dog clipping..Two exits"..Three Rivers used ta shake to its core when the Steelers played. When I came home after a game, I couldn't talk for 4-5 days. All I could muster was a whisper.
There is power in a crowd...Its Awesome..Big and tall, short or small, red, yellow, black, white...yer all together as friends....whip them Terrible Towels up and Scream like hell. Drink them Iron Citys and get some kraut on that Kielbassa.
Pity the Fool who never experienced it..

Heinz will never be louder than the old Three Rivers because it is more open. Three Rivers was the classic "cookie cutter" stadium of the 70's and the crowd noise stayed inside. That stadium did indeed rock. Just watch some NFL Films highlights of the fans at Three Rivers and you can see the stands bouncing.

Also Cal visiting Pittsburgh would not be complete until you visit Primanti Bros.
