I heard CSX plans on shutting down but I have not seen anything in writing except for the yard jobs and locals.

Anyone know (except for that smartass Snippy)

They cut the yard and road extra lists before the holiday with no place for the guys to mark up. Screwed them all in the yard out of holiday pay. I heard that they did the same at all the RR's

We had a guy bump on a job while hes on vacation on South America. He just had to fuck some body out of a holiday.  I can't wait to listen to him explain why he just had to make a move on vacation.

Some guys are just dicks.... plain and simple.....

My father always tells a story about being the foreman on a yard job and busting ass for 8 hours to get done with no OT so the fireman on the job could work the next day (if they got any OT the fireman had to layoff for "miles")...

They got done in time, but the engineer on the job took 5 minutes OT on the tie-up... screwed the fireman out of a days pay.... just because he could......

Moves made on vacation are illegal unless the bulletin was posted before he marked off on vacation. Displacements cannot be made while marked off on vacation. YMMV. Snippy would timeslip the caller for allowing an illegal move. Snippy doesn't give a shit if it's not on the cheat sheet caller's notes for that desk. Again, YMMV. Oh, and the guy's a POS for trying it, no, doing it.
