The old ballpark has hosted thousands of games, All Star Games, League Championship Games and World Series. The Bears even played there....today is a first.....the NHL Winter Classic is currently on NBC. Outdoor regular season game.

Blackhawks were always my sentimental favorite team.....my first game ever was at Chicago Stadium back in '81...they beat the Redwings 4-3. Tickets cost $4......at todays game....what would have been $10 seats at a Cubs game sold for $300.

Two things remain constant.....I have never seen the Hawks play in Chicago since they tore down the old barn on W. Madison.....and I have never set foot in Wrigley since they put lights in......

So?  What've you proved?  No lights in baseball at one time and I'm guessing that if you'd been around then, you'd just given up baseball.  Traditionalist.

Cy's been to Cleveland Municipal Stadium, Cincinnati Riverfront (missed going to Crosley Field, darn it), Milwaukee County Stadium, but not Wrigley. Been wanting to go to Wrigley for a good while but haven't made it, lights or no lights. That's about it, only three ML stadiums.

Very good game. Wings never seem to be very rattled when down.
They execute on their power plays and that was demonstrated.
Bobby Hull showed up to lead a Harry Carey tribute and he
don't look like he's been going too hungry. Makita looks trim.
Yeah Coyotes and Kings could meet in a Vegas parking lot to
play ball hockey. Should be a great draw. Maybe they could hire
Criss Angel Mindfreak to make Bettman disappear...for good, eh ?

The problem with Bettman is that he can't and will not admit when he is wrong. The guy is not a business man, yet he thinks he is.
