If it was the greatest railroad of all time, how'd it get gobbled up by that road, only to take on your favorite road's name and end up in a decrepit state, besides. I'm sure you're a Phillip Amschutz fan, he helped push you along the road to ruin but I think it started before that.

CBQ was guilty of painting up a some SD45's with what they
thought the BN paint scheme might look like. Typical case of
putting the cart before the horse.

One thing about it, the Lehigh Valley sure had a variety of paint schemes. They also had some of the most miserable cabooses I ever had the privilege to ride. Just getting up in the cupola was a challenge. I have to add that I never rode a Southern caboose but our crews complained about them being miserable.
