From a neutral point of view,
that was a real good game, right
down to the last few minutes.
The record setting run-back,
the come from behind threat,
the final play and the half time show...
that contest rocked, worth booking rest.

I don't have a voice left. I'm supposed to work in the morning but I don't know if I'm going to be able to sleep.

SIX PACK!

For awhile, Slug and Calvin, I thought you guys were going to have to take solace in your extra checks your good friends Tony and Dave sent you.

Believe me, I was sweating it. To win they way they did makes it that much more enjoyable. Very very exciting. Being the Super Bowl makes it that much bigger. What a great game. I loved seeing former Buckeye Santonio Holmes do so well and win the MVP. Awesome!

The best part of all this is the Steelers did it with the toughest schedule. There is absolutely nothing the haters can say now. Nothing! The Steelers are the Champions and NOTHING can change that fact. It is great!

My wife commented that the Steelers didn't show much class during the game. I kinda agree with her, how many personal fouls did they get?

I can remember two. One on James Harrison and the other on Ike Taylor. I'll give you Harrison's. His was blatant. Taylor however was a scuffle between two guys who both were throwing fists. The Cardinals has couple as well. A roughing the passer and running into the holder.

It was a great Super Bowl game. Think NFC champs Arizona
represented themselves well. 2 unfucking unbelievable plays
Pitt pulled off were the difference. That 100 yard interception
run back for a touchdown right before halftime. Right after the
interception, fucking flags were flying everywhere and then it
was like a rugby scrum a 100 yards the other way. Sort of thought
Arizona must have been distracted by the flags and didn't try their
hardest to end the play short of the end zone. Had they brought that
dude down short of the goal line, the half was over and no points.
A very chaotic touchdown. A strange "gift". The Santonio Holmes
TD in the last minute of play has to go down in history as a miraculous
catch. Guess the bottom line is those two plays of the game however
freakish or spectacular decided this game. You can watch a lot of football
and not see plays like this. I'm glad the game had my attention until the
time expired. I still like Arizona...better.

What a Game!!
I keep playing the last 3 minutes over and over.
My personal Favorite is when they get a close in shot of Fitzgerald mouthing NO!! NO!! NO!!

Yep Sluggo...The hardest schedule, standing thier Ground, Not taking the shit after the Officiating looked the other way just about every play that Harrison got held. There is no disputing the fact that the STEELERS are the greatest Team in all of the NFL, Forwards, Backwards, or Sideways. They have 6 rings...More than anybody. Now everybody else is out looking for a new Head Coach...the Next Mike Tomlin.
Yes there will be those who cry, and piss and moan and try to pick it apart. Guess thats the ugly side of being a Loser. Just like The Pet Detective says it.. LLeeww HHuuu SSAAA HHeerrrr!

Hopefully there will be "good" referee's calling the game.
Seattle got fucked over pretty good vs Pitt a few years ago.
Good time for the league to rectify that boner.

Fear not Krink....the refs will be wearing their true colors.

Guess the Moral of the story is if ya start playing Smash-Mouth with the Steelers,

it may come back ta haunt ya. Can't name them all but here's a few of the Cardinals personal fouls..

For Arizona, it came down to 11 costly penalties (for 106 yards) and one very costly misread. The team finished four points short, instead of a decisive win over their favored opponent.

The Cardinals totaled 407 yards of offense against the Steelers' top-ranked defense, but they'll be forever obsessed with 45 yards they lost and one yard they couldn't get.

Left tackle Mike Gandy was called for holding penalties on three separate drives that ended in punts.

Running back Edgerrin James was flagged for a Personal Foul Chop Block, a 15-yard infraction on another drive that fizzled.

Antonio Rogers-Cromartie was flagged for a Personal Foul Face Mask on Santonio Holmes.

Carlos Dansby was hit with a Personal Foul Roughing the Passer call on Ben Roethlisberger.

Adrian Wilson then got flagged for Personal Foul Running Over Steelers Holder Mitch Berger.

It was a great game!!! I'm no steelers or cardinals fan, but it was a good game to watch.
as far as the fouls, when John Madden says it was a little much and should be tossed from the game, and I'm refering to the Harrison foul, you know it's a bad one. James's foul for chop block, a bit weak but it was a foul none the less

I think my wife was referring to the Harrison foul and the scuffle on the sideline. But its cool that the Steelers one, its cool to see a team with pride.

That's been one of the most frustrating things all season about Harrison. He gets held A LOT and they often don't call it. Oh well, the dude is an absolute beast. The Steelers now have the Immaculate Interception thanks to Harrison.

Man you should hear all the haters. Boo hoo this, boo hoo that. Excuses excuses excuses. Go ahead and whine all you want. The Steelers are the Champs. Get over it. Discussion over. Case closed!

The parade is scheduled for tomorrow at noon. I'm heading for Sixburgh in a couple hours. I want to get there a little early and hit the watering holes on Carson St tonight. I've had a day to rest my voice before whooping it up again tomorrow afternoon. I'll snap some pics for yinz to enjoy.

Enjoy it, Sluggo!

It's hard to repeat. It can be done but it's hard.
