Railroaders place to shoot the shit.

Back from Sixburgh and had an absolute blast. Got up at 7am to get a head start before the traffic got bad and try to get a good spot. Finally made it to the podium and got what I thought was a great spot. That was until the local TV news channels set up podiums right in front of me. By the time they did this it was too late to move as all the good spots were already taken. Damn! Oh well. I could at least hear whoever spoke on the podium and I could see the team come down the street. It was estimated there were 300,000 fans there. Here is a link to the pictures I was able to take.

You'll see I took a shot of one of the local news crews set up in front of me. I was able to get a few pics of Tunch Ilkin and Mike Tomlin on the main podium. Those were the only ones that came out decent. The rest my camera kept trying to focus on the news anchor podiums. Grrr! The highlight of the day was when Troy Polamalu did a "stage dive" like he did in 2006. I was able to snap a photo the moment he leaped from the truck. It is slightly blurry but you can make it out. Good times hanging out with the best fans in the land.

Pipes, Big Byron did get on the podium and spoke with the crowd. I'm happy for him he got a ring. I don't think he'll be back with the Steelers next year. He's good enough to start with somebody else. I think some other teams will come after him.
