Hot, cramped, stinking, nasty, noisy, dirty, rattly dual control stand crap. Urine smell that forced you to smoke to keep from gagging. Forty tons of N&W cherry mothball urinal cakes crushed up everywhere to add to the urine scent. Bag shitters to the end.

Just leaving the control stand gage lights on raised the cab temperature 25 degrees in the summer. They took the heater water control valves off some of them to compound the misery in the summer. Paint 'em all black to make 'em really suffer!

Huh, in that first pic on the left is one of our old TRAIN INSPECT signals. Funny what you forget about when you haven't had them for a long time.

Yeah, and the experimental paint job, somebody called them "skunk" engines, I think they only painted up three of them that way.
