Detroit has a solid team this season. I don't know how we got game one as Justin Verlander had a no-no after 4 innings. Just as the Angels put up a 5 spot the night before in a tight low scoring game, the Mariners came alive against Verlander with a 5 spot in the 5th. Unbelievable. M's go on to win 6-3. Game two was all Tiger starter Edwin Jackson as the M's looked like they were at a golf tournament and they swung away at about 50 of those low bouncing sliders. Sunday Tiger rookie Rick Porcello pitched a great game and kept the M's offense to basically nil. The Tigers are hot. The M's host the Rays for a 3 game series starting Tuesday. The M's still hold a 2.5 game lead over Oakland and Texas.
