It's very hard for me to comprehend that they are still building ballparks in this modern age without a closeable roof. The new ballpark in Minneapolis set for 2010 opening day is going to be roofless. They in Minneapolis can't wait to sit in the sun and the elements to watch baseball. Metrodome-itis I guess. The way the Aprils have been in the northern hemisphere lately, I can't fucking believe that a city could build a stadium in the 21st Century without a closeable roof. Milwaukee knew what to do. I guess there is some sort of romance of making plans to attend a MLB game from 100's of miles away, hotel rooms, time spent away from work, only to get rained out. The Mariners get to play a double header tomorrow in Chicago. Doubleheaders used to be popular 40-50-60 years ago. Today all it does is fuck up everything. Blame the weather or blame the idiots that design baseball parks. A ballpark with a closeable roof is a sign of human advancement.
