From The Associated Press
WHARNCLIFFE, W.Va. (AP) -- A state official says three workers suffered minor injuries after a train derailed and hit a loading facility at a coal preparation plant in southern West Virginia.

Alpha Natural Resources spokesman Ted Pile says the accident occurred at about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Black Bear Preparation Plant in Wharnecliffe. The plant is operated by a subsidiary of Abingdon, Va.-based Alpha.

Office of Miners' Health, Safety and Training spokeswoman Jama Jarrett says two Alpha workers and one employee of Norfolk Southern were trapped after the train hit the loading facility. All three workers were freed and taken to an area hospital for evaluation.

Pile says Alpha officials believe the train hit one of the loading facility's supports, causing it to collapse.

Yeah, dispatcher, you'd better send a backhoe.  No, scratch that, you'd been send some emergency squads and a backhoe.  No, maybe something a little bigger than a backhoe.
