(Silverton, OR) -- The city of Silverton, Oregon's openly transgender mayor is under scrutiny for his dress.
Brenda Sturdevant, the manager of a non-profit group called Silverton Together, says Mayor Stu Rasmussen's short skirt, halter top, and high heels worn during a recent meeting with local students violated the city's dress code.
Sturdevant has filed a formal complaint with the city saying she wants the mayor to adhere to city rules.
In response, Mayor Rasmussen says his clothing was appropriate on a 90 degree day with 50 percent humidity.
In fact, the mayor says he was complimented on his fashion choices.
