Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Train In Delaware

NEWARK (CBS 3)

Newark Police said a pedestrian was struck and killed by a train at the University of Delaware Monday morning.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene on the 100 block of Elkton Road where a female was hit by a freight train just before 8:30 a.m.

Police said the unidentified victim was 25-years-old and not a student at the university.

The intersection of West Main Street and New London Road was closed while police investigated the incident.

Talkin bout that 216/217......At On the Capitol Sub at "JD" yesterday the 217 caught up to a kid riding a bike. There is NO crossing here. The kid must have been riding within the gague.disbelief
This is on a sweeping curve where autoracks are allowed 55mph.......
Crew is off CI.
