CLEVELAND, June 16 The Teamsters Rail Conference has issued a letter to all members of the BLET and BMWED announcing the publication of High Alert Report 2: Four Years Later Workers Continue to Warn of Security Gaps on Nations Railroads. The letter, from John Murphy, Director of the Rail Conference; Paul Sorrow, President of the BLET and President of the Teamsters Rail Conference; and Freddie Simpson, President of the BMWED, can be viewed along with the report at the link below. The report details the results of a new survey of BLET and BMWED members revealing that top U.S. rail carriers have failed to close the security gaps that put at stake the safety of rail workers and communities across the country.
