Electro-Motive Diesel, Inc. announces a new partnership with its new agency representative Aman Trading and Engineering (AT&E).


Electro-Motive Diesel, Inc. (EMD) headquartered in North America today announced it has decided to enter into an agency agreement with Aman Trading and Engineering (AT&E) headquartered in Egypt.  AT&E and EMD will work together in partnership to provide the Egyptian National Railways (ENR) with the variety of products and service support for ENRs large fleet of EMD locomotives.
EMD and AT&E will work side by side to form a roadmap of the following initiatives that are important to ENRs operational success now as well as the long term:

  • Provide expert service training and technical support to the maintenance and operational personnel for the entire fleet of locomotives in the region.
  • Provide training to ENR personnel
  • Provide post delivery spare parts to insure high reliability and availability of locomotives.
  • Provide complete maintenance support to ENR.
  • Rebuild and repower older EMD locomotives to provide an additional 25 to 30 years of service.
  • Develop potential locomotive sales and service opportunities in other regional areas such as Libya and Iraq.
