Stanley Anderson Dies: Spider-Man & Seinfeld Actor Was 78

Stage, film and TV actor Stanley Anderson, known for his role as the judge in the final episode of Seinfeld and as General Slocum in Spider-Man, has died. Anderson passed away June 24, six weeks after being diagnosed with brain cancer, according to a statement from his family. He was 78.

Anderson began his professional acting career on the stage, first with the Seattle Repertory Theatre, then the Actors Theatre of Louisville. He went on to spend more than 20 years at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. where he earned a Helen Hayes Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Piggy Bank.

Anderson later sequed to film and TV. In addition to Spider-Man, his feature work included roles as the President of the United States in Michael Bays Armageddon and The Rock. His most recent film credits include Red Dragon, Legally Blonde 2 and Runaway Jury. On TV, he had a recurring role as Drew Careys dad on The Drew Carey Show and played the memorable role of Judge Vandelay in the final episode of Seinfeld.

Anderson also was a longtime member of three unions for actors, according to his family, and worked behind the scenes doing voiceover work in ads for Democratic candidates and issues across the country.

He was most proud, ultimately, of the part he played in politics, his family said.

Harlan Ellison~ Not so well known outside "Star Trek" fanboys, and specific sci-fi readers, and a few of his books had been adapted screen plays, or movies. Anybody else seen "A Boy and his Dog"? Great little film, starring a very young Don Johnson. A must see IUHO!

Ellison was a controversial writer at best, but deserving awards bestowed him, and the accolades, and praises. Stephen King was a fan of Ellison as well

Who remembers Tab Hunter? Well he's dead. Yep. And that he was...well you know, not that there's anything wrong with that. But then again Rock Hudson got away with it, so why not Tab?

Tab Hunter, the tall, blond, blue-eyed movie star who as a teenage idol in the 1950s was one of the last products of the Hollywood studio system and who made an unlikely comeback in a very un-Hollywood film when he was almost 50 died on Sunday in Santa Barbara, Calif. He was 86.

His death was confirmed by his spouse, Allan Glaser, who said the cause was cardiac arrest after a blood clot moved from Mr. Hunters leg to his lung.

Well if the New York Times reports it, it's a pretty good bet that he's deceased. Dead. No longer among the breathing. Pushing up daisies. Persona non grata. Ceased to be. In other words, dead, dead, dead!

Was she a star? Who know, but if she was known for anything significant other than being married to Frank, and bearing three of his kids, nobody mentions that! Well Nancy Sinatra (wife of Frank) is dead.

https://pagesix.com/2018/07/14/frank-sinatras-first-wife-nancy-sr-dead-at-101/

Frank Jr. attempted to sing. Not really an impressive career at that. Daughter Nancy too. She had one big hit with "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'" which was big hit for troops in Vietnam during the '60s. But what of their third daughter? Hmmm....

Anybody remember her, or her name, and was she famous in any way? Guess not. When yer dead, nothing else matters.

"Nancy Sr". Don't hear women names with "Sr/Jr" much.
