BNsf has a few of 'em out there...somewhere. Most of the 40-2s have been used in 'yard' service at least over the past couple years. They've been renumbering ta lower numbers, as they company replaces the 40s, 60s, and 70s with GEunk.

Unbeleivably...we're seeing more switch engines again... Remotes and conventional units.

Maybe ya better look at the radio a little closer....its engraved CSX.
The NB letters indicate the radio has been NarrowBanded.

I looked at the radio right away and saw that it was stamped CSX.

You would always know right away that you didn't have a home road radio when you would hit the home channel to change channels and it would go to the wrong channel. I believe I have also seen these radios stamped BNSF. Or maybe it was UP, can't remember. Old age, you know.
