"I loved my Tastykakes and always bought them. Ever since they moved to the Navy Yard, the pies aren't DONE!!!!!! I wrote them and called them about it and they assured me the ovens are the same temperature as Hunting Park! How can they be the same when the pastry dough isn't as crisp and as brown as it was before? Even the different cakes have lost their flavor."

I've not lived in the Phila./South Jersey area for more than 20 years, but whenever I come back, a stop at Wawa is mandatory for the comfort food of Tastykake pies. "The SnakBar is the greatest snack on the planet! Tastes like a brownie with icing but only 180 calories and 10g of protein. If everyone ate these things, Philly wouldn't be as fat as it is!"

"The fact that they're still just a Philly market product (for the most part) is ridiculous considering the quality of the product is head and shoulders above what else you'll find in other areas of the country. Instead of just moving to the Navy Yard, they should have been buying bakeries in New England and the Southeast, making product there, and finding new outlets."

"I really haven't noticed a difference in taste, just the price. The best way to improve the finances is to increase their distribution. Tastykakes is regional with a worldwide appeal. They need to work with Wal-Mart and Target to increase their reach. Also, work with Disney to offer Tastykakes on their property, a large amount of guests are from the Delaware Valley."
