Watch for these units on a "Discovery..." or National Geographic, or another 'trains' special on a TV near you...within the next few days.
Yep! This quartet of Uncle Warren's will soon appear in a 'documentary' about big time railroads, railroading, fuel efficiency, or who the hell knows what! The BNsf 7313, 7661, 7380, and the 7618, all by itself in the roundhouse after a superb wash job!
A real beauty, she is!
All of 'em GEVOs. All of 'em supposedly will be filmed while pulling a 'special' train, which was called for 0300-taday Jan. 30, 2011. Auto-train...
Who the hell knows why, where, or anything else concerning the damn things, except ta say that a rather reluctant bunch washed 'em!
And of course once again the swing shift grunts (with a trio of OT girls) saved our foreman's ass.

We're so proud of our railroad's image. Sqeaky-clean, that's "Team BNsf" all the way from the Pacific Northwest, to Chicago, and the Gulf Coast, into Canada, south to California, and all points in between, served by the great predessesor railroads that make up today's mighty BNsf! Interbay is certain to receive recognition for its efforts on behalf of our managers in Ft. Worth, and the captain of the 'new' 21st Century railroad that is BNsf!

...before I get overwhelmed with emotion, I'd like to express my sincere thanks to Interbay's local managers for replacing the worn out, non-functional microwaves that forced us to warm our food over the exhaust stacks, or the expansion tanks of running locomotives.
Thanks Brandon Schwartz for caring for us. We are indebted. All of us, from all three shifts, and every craft!

How 'bout a few more pics gang? Sure! Don't you guys enjoy seeing craftsmen at work? Everybody does, including your photographer, who also took a turn with the scrub bruhes and hot water rinse!
The gang included machinists, electricians, a pipefitte/sheet-metal worker, and a carman.
What a party! It was so much fun for all concerned, we're planning another 'wash-out' for Warren' soon!
Oh gosh... Before we post this one, we have received the latest 'high-tech' kitchen gear for our wondrous dining area. A few pics are in order to celebrate!
Thanks everyone who participated willingly, or unwillingly to make this day so special. Interbay, and BNsf can justifyably be proud!

All those elevated platforms...How'd they warsh the runnin gear? Or was it just a "Whores bath"?
It's refreshing to see clean equipment. We're startin to notice it around here. The new warsh bay here in cumberland warshes everything before it enters the shop.
The trucks... They talked about washing 'em tu. All that silvery paint (sf) is actually tu filthy ta clean...and make 'em look presentable for TV cameras. The moving train is what these filmmakers want to see. Not a pretty locomotive.
Why I took all these pics? Ta ridicule BNsf management for wasting manpower hours, gallons of special soap, and thousands of gallons of water. The rainy PNW climate would've done as good a job in a few hours, with similar results.
The swing shift foreman Gary Zdenik was so distraught over these locomotives being 'properly' washed, and finished for the 0300 train, he sat glued to his computer, and phones, and did not leave his office till 2200...as we were just finishing up.
The quartet was tested and gone as we left work.
James "Jimmy" Weinbrenner will be our team 'leader' tonight. We're all looking forward to the next big thing.

Now that is some funny shit Calvin. Uke and I been through Warshington State a couple of times now. Some midwesterners have called it "Woishington". "Ritzville" is in Warshington.
