Railroaders place to shoot the shit.

That's pretty dismal...a 65% new-hire quit rate! No wonder we have approximately 400,000 NEW claimants ta the unemployed/underemployed roles this week. (According ta the US Labor Dept.)

Okay, Baltimore, North Baltimore... Either way, railroad jobs USED ta be good jobs. Much has changed since we all hired on... Now 'they' try ta fire ya every chance they get. Ten, fifteen years ago...we'd be able to correct our mistakes ourselves. And we'd never hear a word about it, as long as we got our work done without damaging somebody's freight, or we didn't kill each other off moving the shit.

Now they fire us for taking more'n fifteen minutes ta wash up, eat, and take a piss...

Now it's all about speed, efficiency, switching as many cars in 12 hours as possible, or getting a train from point A ta point B without anything going wrong...in just under 12 hours! With fuel ta spare. (And don't you dare power-brake!)

Don't even ask how it is that they continue showing RECORD profits every quarter.
