...when I came across this. It's photos from the Allied invasion of North Africa during World War II. Some of the pics are raw anmddisturbing, but not a damn one was actually posed.
The photographers were 'imbedded' with the troops, and all knew their risks, but they followed the action anyway. These images are surprising, and stunning because they've painted a picture of an almost forgotten piece of history.
