ThisIsHullAndEastRiding | Submitted by: DM "In the first incident, a plastic bag filled with ballast and faeces was suspended from a cord, which was stretched across the railway line near Skerne Road in Driffield on Saturday, July 23, at about 7.50pm. The 5.41pm Sheffield to Scarborough service struck the bag at about 50mph. The bag narrowly missed the driver's windscreen... After the Brough incident, Sergeant Simon Litchfield, of BTP in Hull, sighed: "It's kids and it's the sort of thing that happens in the summer holidays."
