PHILADELPHIA (AP) Competitive-eating champ Takeru Kobayashi (tah-kah-roo koh-bee-yah-shee) conquered Philadelphia's annual gustatory gorge-fest by eating 337 chicken wings in a half-hour before a crowd of nearly 20,000 at Wing Bowl XX.
The Japanese phenom demolished the record of 255 set last year by Jonathan "Super" Squibb.
The Friday morning extravaganza drew thousands to the Wells Fargo Center before sunrise to watch competitors stuff themselves with chicken wings.
Kobayashi claimed a $20,000 cash prize for his victory. It was the six-time Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest champ's first time competing at Wing Bowl, though he consumed a cheesesteak in 24 seconds as part of an eating exhibition last year.
Squibb had been trying to win his fourth consecutive Wing Bowl crown, but the Berlin, N.J., man finished a distant second with 271 wings. Copyright 2012 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed. [spoiler]

If that's true, competitive-eating legend Takeru Kobayashi just unveiled his latest masterpiece by devouring 337 chicken wings in a half-hour at Wing Bowl XX.
Before a crowd of about 20,000 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Kobayashi, six-time Nathan's Hot Dog Eating champ, vanquished more than two dozen competitors to set a new chicken wing eating record by blazing past the previous record of 255 wings, WCAU-TV reported.
Kobayashi, of Japan, weighs just 128 pounds, but he prepared for the Wing Bowl by consuming 200 wings a day. That regimen helped him beat reigning three-time Wing Bowl champion Jonathan "Super" Squibb by 66 wings to take the "Wing King" title, according to the Wall Street Journal.
For his gastro-defying first-place efforts, Kobayashi took home $20,000 and a championship ring.
According to his Facebook page, the new Wing King celebrated his victory with an additional bowl of chicken wings.
Troll's don't worry... Nope. They eat everything, including bones. In fact most trolls will consume anything formerly alive, or dead. They're particularly fond of road-kill, rotting flesh, rotten fish, the nastier, the better!
Ever notice how that dead possum on the road disappears just after ya notice it? Trolls. They arrive quietly, quickly, then sneak back inta some secret hollow in the backwoods where only the stuppid tread,,,accidentally. Then disappear.
You know the stories... "Yeah, he went out one night ta take a walk, and was never seen again..." Trolls. They trap ya, keep ya alive just long enough... Hang ya upside down, till yer lungs fill with bodily fluids and ya drown. Leave ya rot for another two, three weeks, cut ya down, then they feast!
Unless a dead deer, or something else can be found. Trolls never go hungry. Never!

Need to make everyone aware of the quality entertainment on the Nat Geo Wild channel nowdays. They seem to be focused on the "eat or be eaten" photographed by the latest cameras and technology. It's like "everything you knew was wrong" or better yet "I had no idea it was like this". After an hour of watching Lions capture any animal from an elephant to a giraffe to a water-buffalo, I've decided I'd rather not encounter one this life-time.

Contrary ta popular opinion, hyenas do actually hunt, and kill prey. Rather than await their turn aftera lion's kill ta pick over scraps and leavings, they'll pill down any hapless giraffe, zebra, buffalo, wildebeest...or impala that ambles inta their area.
These powerful pseudo canines will bring down a baby, or adult of any species too weak, or sick to keep up with the herd.
Witnessed it myself during a trip to Namibia's upland, near the Botswana borderlands. This gang of hyenas took an adult giraffe down, and made short work of her... Ate everything, including bones. Buzards waited patiently for their turn in nearby trees.

The Hyenas and the wild dogs seem to focus on the ass when they attack. They quicky bite off the "nuts" of the "persued". That is a problem for the "pursued". It all goes downhill from there. The "dawg family" will always "start at the ass" and when the captured prey is down, it's the easiest access point for what they like to eat.
