CHICAGO (MarketWatch) Apple Inc., Norfolk Southern Corp., Juniper Networks, Boeing Co., Caterpillar Inc. and WellPoint Inc. are among the stocks that could see active trading on Wednesday.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL)  reported a 93% earnings jump for the March quarter on Tuesday afternoon, beating Wall Streets estimates thanks mostly to strong iPhone sales.

Norfolk Southern Corp. (NYSE:NSC)  late Tuesday said it had first-quarter net earnings of $410 million, or $1.23 a share, up from $325 million, or 90 cents a share, a year ago. Total revenue at the railroad operator was $2.8 billion, higher than $2.6 billion in the same quarter last year.

Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR)  on Tuesday reported a first-quarter profit of $16.27 million, or 3 cents a share, compared with a profit of $129.8 million, or 24 cents a share, for the year-earlier period. Revenue was $1.03 billion, down from $1.10 billion. Adjusted income was 16 cents a share. Analysts were expecting a profit of 13 cents a share, on revenue of $980.8 million, according to a consensus survey by FactSet Research.

DeVry Inc. (NYSE:DV)  said Tuesday its fiscal third-quarter profit fell 28%, as new-student enrollment at DeVry University plunged 20%, but the results surpassed most expectations. The company said it earned $67.13 million, or $1 a share, compared with a profit of $92.9 million, or $1.32 a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue fell 4% to $540.8 million. Analysts polled by FactSet Research were expecting a profit of 99 cents a share on revenue of $528.6 million.

Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA)  is expected to report first-quarter earnings of 96 cents a share on sales of $18.45 billion.

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT)  is seen reporting first-quarter earnings of $2.13 a share on revenue of $16.23 billion.

WellPoint Inc. (NYSE:WLP)  is expected to report a first-quarter profit of $2.27 a share on sales of $15.41 billion.

Sprint Nextel Corp. (NYSE:S)  is seen posting a first-quarter loss of 42 cents a share on sales of $8.7 billion.

Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE:DAL)  is seen posting a first-quarter loss of 4 cents a share on sales of $8.35 billion.

General Dynamics Corp. (NYSE:GD)  is expected to post a first-quarter profit of $1.69 a share on revenue of $7.91 billion

Northrop Grumman Corp. (NYSE:NOC)  is expected to report first-quarter earnings of $1.59 a share on revenue of $6.26 billion.

Eli Lilly & Co. (NYSE:LLY)  is seen reporting a first-quarter profit of 78 cents a share on $5.37 billion.

Southern Co. (NYSE:SO)  is expected to report first-quarter earnings of 46 cents a share on revenue of $3.72 billion.

AutoNation Inc. (NYSE:AN)  is seen posting a first-quarter profit of 53 cents a share on revenue of $3.59 billion.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE:TMO)  is seen posting a profit of $1.11 a share on sales of $2.98 billion.

Dana Holding Corp. (NYSE:DAN)  is expected to report a first-quarter profit of 41 cents a share on revenue of $1.93 billion.

Corning Inc. (NYSE:GLW)  is expected to report a profit in the first quarter of 28 cents a share on revenue of $1.87 billion.

Rockwell Automation Inc. (NYSE:ROK)  is seen posting first-quarter earnings of $1.27 a share on revenue of $1.57 billion.

Avery Dennison Corp. (NYSE:AVY)  is expected to issue first-quarter earnings of 45 cents a share on revenue of $1.45 billion.

Allegheny Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ATI)  is expected to post first-quarter earnings of 49 cents a share on revenue of $1.36 billion.

Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. (NYSE:DPS)  is expected to report a profit in the first quarter of 48 cents a share on revenue of $1.36 billion..

Nielsen Holdings N.V. (NYSE:NLSN)  is expected to report first-quarter earnings of 27 cents a share on revenue of $1.35 billion.

Harley-Davidson Inc. (NYSE:HOG)  is seen posting first-quarter earnings of 72 cents a share on sales of $1.22 billion.

Lorillard Inc. (NYSE:LO)  is seen posting a first-quarter profit of $1.99 a share on revenue of $1.13 billion.

Jones Group Inc. (NYSE:JNY)  is expected to report earnings in the first quarter of 14 cents a share on $935.5 million in sales.

Diebold Inc. (NYSE:DBD)  is seen reporting a first-quarter profit of 33 cents a share on revenue of $648.6 million.

Tupperware Brands Corp. (NYSE:TUP)  is expected to report first-quarter earnings of 96 cents a share on revenue of $625.6 million.
