Just Obama signs this. Presidents over the years

have been issuing the EO's like they're going out of style.

Pretty much all these EO's are to completely eradicate

the Constition of any power at all.

This is something they have talked about for years.

Simply stated, the Federal Government is trying to make sure they can talk to everybody when a natural disaster (weather, flood, earthquake, etc) occurs. So many times the cops cant talk to the firemen, the firemen cant talk to the local utilitys, Local Governments (town, boro, county) cant talk to State Govt or Federal govt authorities.

Remember when Bush didnt go down to New Orleans?

Presidents dont go somewhere, or answer questions about something they have no knowledge of, and I can tell ya that Bush only knew what his boyz were tellin him, and i bet they were rosying up that picture.

What this order does is try to give Local Gvts, etc, people who need to talk in time of disaster/need a secure radio network to pass vital communications to the right people. (Something the Amateur Radio guys do now out of the bottom of thier hearts for free...but in no way could that amateur set up ever be regarded as secure.) 

 

 

If ya bother to read it at all, you can see it updates earlier orders from the early 80's. 

 

(b) Executive Order 12472 of April 3, 1984, as amended, is hereby revoked.

(c) Executive Order 12382 of September 13, 1982, as amended, is further amended by striking the following language from section 2(e): "in his capacity as Executive Agent for the National Communications System".

Never seen a white house.gov comment about anything before and
apparently it had a short lifetime on-line. All the Executive Orders have
a number and this does tuu. See if I can find out more.
