He's an idiot. Any politician with half a brain knows who really 'owns' us. Yep. China. And through their proxy companies here (US conglomerates), they actually control most of Congress, and our most important branches of government. The legislative branch, where laws are made, which have the power to regulate those businesses that feed back into our economy.

We may have modelled our system of government on the British system, but that's all. After the Revolution which kicked the Brits out for good, the United States went its own way. Much of what we have in common with the English today, is our common (?) language.

Beyond that... I don't want anything from the UK. I won't watch the Olympics. or the opener... In fact, there's little if anything that we have in common with Britain! Fuck 'em!
