Train conductor credited with saving burning Pinellas business from major damage

PINELLAS PARK - A train conductor passing by a Pinellas Park business fire is credited with saving the building from incurring serious damage Sunday night, according to authorities.
A two-alarm fire was reported at Adtec II, located at 5440 70 th Avenue N in Pinellas Park around 11:00 p.m. Sunday.
Fire officials said a train conductor passing by the fire called 911.
The fire was suppressed by overhead sprinkler system and fire crews were able to contain the rest of the fire.
Officials said had it not been for the alertness of the train conductor, the fire may have overtaken the sprinkler system and caused major damage.
