Police found a severely drunk man in his car on the side of the road after he ran out of gas early Sunday morning.
Police said Wine had a dangerous Blood Alcohol Concentration of .548% when they found him inside of his car at
County Rd. 250 East and LaPoint Drive at around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators believe his car ran out of gas and he stayed in it and continued drinking until Officers found him when
they responded to a call of an abandoned vehicle.
Wine was taken to the Kosciusko Community Hospital in very serious condition.
Most studies say that BAC levels of .50% or greater are normally fatal. The legal limit in Indiana is .08%.
Kosciusko County Sheriffs Department deputies said the blood lab test results and information from the scene will be
forwarded to the Kosciusko County Prosecutors' Office for potential public intoxication charges.
