Tax penalty to hit nearly 6M uninsured people

If you don't have insurance, I'm paying (through my $1600 a month premiums) for your catastrophic health care insurance coverage through the universal emergency room care mandate. If you're wealthy enough to self-insure against any possible outcomes, the $1200 isn't going to mean anything to you.

I'm sure as shit going to be one of those 6M. This is spooky

shit. The government and big pharma and the AMA and the

insurance companies one great power. We all become one big

medical research project very similiar to nazi germany early 1940's.

Reading the article, how much will the government chip in for you to buy insurance from the insurance pool they are suppose to set up?

Yep, what Snippy said. And for a person with virtually NO income, you Krink should find another proven worry ta...well worry about.

The devil as they say, is in the deta...numbers:

And the budget office analysis found that nearly 80 percent of those who'll face the penalty would be making up to or less than five times the federal poverty level. Currently that would work out to $55,850 or less for an individual and $115,250 or less for a family of four.

Average penalty: about $1,200 in 2016.

"The bad news and broken promises from Obamacare just keep piling up," said Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, who wants to repeal the law.

Starting in 2014, virtually every legal resident of the U.S. will be required to carry health insurance or face a tax penalty, with exemptions for financial hardship, religious objections and certain other circumstances. Most people will not have to worry about the requirement since they already have coverage through employers, government programs like Medicare or by buying their own policies.

A spokeswoman for the Obama administration said 98 percent of Americans will not be affected by the tax penalty and suggested that those who will be should face up to their civic responsibilities.

Nowthen...exactly who does that sound like?

And that's the real truth! Those who can pay, will pay. Those who can't pay, won't pay. And what are 'they' gonna do if ya can't pay for whatever reason? I can assure you Krink, they ain't likely ta initiate legal action against you, and the rest of the 7.9999999 million who also can't pay, for whatever reason!

Perhaps I am a victim of the brainwashing, rather than our wage earning brothers and sisters, who are already paying into that very, very huge pool of money to pay for the uninsured amongst the millions...

Then again, who knows? One mustn't believe everything one reads... Including so called 'holy scripture' of any sort. Remember snake oil salesmen will tell you their product is actually good for what ails ya...

Snippy has been lied to about your hefty premiums and why

they are the way they are. To think that whatevers happens

to me, being uninsured medically, that you be paying for it

out of your paycheck somehow is just absurd as its just

some brainwashing that you picked up on.

It's not brainwashing and it"s not absurd to know that if you are brought to a hospital stroked out or in a coma that I and millions and millions of others - through our increased premiums and taxes - will be paying for your care. In America, we don't leave you dying in the gutter.

And I can guarantee you, if you cant pay, you will have a collection agency following you around till the day you pay, or die.

Paying a dollar a month dont cut it anymore either.

So getting back to the "story" that if you do not join or have
health coverage by 2014 that you will have a "tax penalty" and
all kinds of dealings with the IRS. How/why is the IRS involed in
any of this. This is nothing but a strong-arm technique to get
population under govt/bigphama/AMA controls which means
everybody becomes a test-subject and real easy to take-out
via manditory vaccinations and any other mandated
proceedures. This "what-ever-care" in our future better undergo
some serious modifications or it's over for us.

As it is now, they drag your comatose body in whether you wanted it or not, and we pay.

Yeah... I did forget about THAT didn't I! Damn me... Again. But if it's any consolation, I'm more likely ta be targeted by gov't. enforcers, than Krink. Because I ordered this Medicare booklet on line, to my actaul physical address... Do 'they' not only know my name, they've checked me off on their BIG list, and correlated all information within every government agency.

Certainly the treasury dept. shares my info with the Medicare agency, and the VA probably allows my info ta be picked up tu. Then there's the Social Security Dept. And although I receive nary one red cent from SSS, every year they send me 'updated' income estimated assesments in my 'account,' which just happens ta be...not much!

I pay a telephone bill every month, and a cell phone bill, and an electric, and utility bills... lus I have a credit union account, a brokerage account, some money in a 401-K account...

Lotsa info, all easily accessed by any and every US Gov't. agency that decides that they 'need' it. And IF somebody refuses ta share... All they gotta do is call Janet Napolitano, and say "Mamm, this guy is a threat to our national security..." And guess what?

They arrest me right now...or the target info is gathered up, processed, spat out...andconsolidated into a bill. For Medicare.

Ya gotta pay...or go ta jail! With all this paranoia over trying to avoid all this...jail sounds a whole lot better than being out here in the cold... Besides in jail ya got three meals per, a clean bed, a room ta yerself (in most cases), health care, a library, TV, access ta lawyers... Hey, what could be better?

Serious, and REAL 'health care' is in your own hands. Everything you eat, drink, smoke...consume in whatever way you bring it in ta tour body, effects your overall health directly.

Couple that with every day physical activity, and exercise of some sort...

What's not ta understand? Oh...your income is beyond the allowed 'poverty' level for a single person, or your assets exceed those of the parameters set forth in the 12,000 odd pages of the new "Health Care Law" known as "Obama Care."

Not ta mention that 2014 is a little over a year away, and you'll be eligible for Medicare...unless you already are covered under it.

Railroad retirees are mailed their card by RRB, and the booklet "Medicare & You" can be ordered on line via www.medicare.gov

They caution that the 'open' enrollment period begins Oct. 15, and ends Dec. 7 to give ya more time ta choose and join a Medicare plan. The booklet covers damn near every question ya might have... But just in case ya can always call 'em at:1-800-633-4227

They cover as much as they can, like what Medicare covers (page 31) Your Medicare Rights(page 105) Health and prescription drug plans (page 141)

Now I'm NOT pushing Medicare. But health care is what it is. Nobody knows what's gonna happen with it yet, but if you're concerned that you'll be 'taxed, fined, or otherwised punished,' for lack thereof...ya might wanna order the booklet from the government. Or not.

Because IF ya do order it, by e-mail, or calling...you'll be exposing yourself by providing your name, address, etc. Uncle Same will have another target! An easy target at that... And you can blame me for my lame-assed attempt ta help with your latest worry...

Guess if you register a car and have a license to drive and a mandate to be covered with an inadequate insurance policy it is somehow different.

Oh, wait, here in Vagina, we let them drive uninsured as long as they pay a yearly penalty for not honoring the insurance "mandate" or providing evidence of self-insurance.

Strange, when I registered the Fuck Uke Ranger they never even asked for 'proof' of insurance. Nope! Yet the state of Washington insists that registration ( of your car/truck be covered for liability) which always amazes...

Anyone can walk inta any licensing agency (privately operated) and register a car...get plates, a date tab, walk out, drive away...and kill or maim, with nary a penalty!

Great system! I feel that these places should ask everyone prove that they have current liability insurance for that vehicle... Or registration is refused!
