It's all part of "MIR" weather. Expect the weather to be "unco-operative". Weather with the "whole bag of tricks". MIR weather in mid-November can be a nightmare. So far in the GPNW its been wetter than normal but when the breaks from wetness and some clear skies, it can freeze. It can freeze just before morning rush hour and cause a lot of damage. That's that MIR ability to "cause kaos in transportation related issues".
Had some fog show up in my hood around 23:00hrs, not much around now. Going to get below freezin' tonight. Morning commute is going to be a "daymare". I'll be listening in on our neighbors to the north in Vancouver BC and their traffic woes come Thursday morning. Not sure it will be any different from any other day in Vancouver. When I listen to the traffic reports "I get this image of traffic jams in Bombay or Mexico City or Paris" I've been paying more attention to Vancouver BC lately. Sometimes you can't overlook that 3 million people live just 90 miles north of me.

Hmm. That address doesnt look right. It looks like the link pointing here was faulty.
This past weekend (Nov 10-11-12) had a plethera of Canadians want to cross the border to the USA or WA at "4" crossings within a 50 mile stretch of geography. Blaine "Peace Arch" crossing (where I-5 north runs into) gets the most traffic. Also at Blaine is the "Truck Crossing" for obvious reasons as it was established for all the shit you need to get a truckload of shit across the border. Sometimes this crossing is less congested and auto traffic can scoot right through. Then there is "Aldergrove" which actually shuts down from midnight to 8AM. Aldergrove. Seems weird in these times where Aldergrove can continue the "no-nightshift". The Aldergrove crossing is on an exact "meridan" or "straight-line" to Bellingham WA where the Canadian shoppers can find whatever they want. Bellingham's commercial success has a lot of Canadians to thank. Then there is the Sumas crossing. The Sumas crossing is directly below the Abbotsford region. This region is way out of the way for anyone living in the city but during the those very busy travel holidays, driving 30 miles east of Vancouver and crossing at Sumas may save you an hour at the border. Thankfully you can monitor the situation every 10 minutes on CKWX. Do I want to be in a line of cars for 2 hours trying to cross the border? easy question.
