I for sure would like to skip Christmas in its "current form".

If it was to revert to its original meaning, it would pass in

a few days like a head cold. Today's Christmas is a mega-

month monster.

Not ta worry Krink, do what I do... Ignore the whole thing! (Oh by the way... The entire enchilada starts again this Friday!)

I buy NO cards! NO gifts! I call my aunt...and scream into the phone... (She's 92 and hates wearing hearing aids, swearing she doesn't need 'em!)

I shop only for food, and necessities, ONLY! It's not that I hate the holidays, but I just see the ridiculousness of the entire American expectations place upon the heads of family members, and close friends! That's how it's become such an ugly mess!

Funny thing... I enjoyed the whole thing, Thanksgiving, Kersmuss...new years celebrations...and all that... Until...

Well, Troll and I are cooking on Thanksgiving. The dope didn't know you could buy fresh Turkey, he thought they are all frozen. He say's he might join me on my Jewish Christmas this year.

The poultry buying public dont know how good they got it
in the 21st century. Yes there is no need to visit a chicken
slaughterhouse but I can tell you its better than a beef
slaughterhouse. So the public is spared all the slaughterhouse
stuff. What we know is in the meat section of the mega-mart.
I remember my neighbor in the hood where I grew up actually
raised chickens and I got to witness the chopping off of
the heads and a headless chicken bouncing all over their
backyard. Manual plucking of feathers. Going through this
on a regular basis had to "control your appetite" for chicken.
But on the other hand chicken is so fucking good (the way
I make it) that maybe you will chop, pluck, gut, do whatever
to get it in the oven as soon as possible.

Uke doesnt have any thing to do with Christmas.
He was smart to be born in January well after
anything christmas. No I think that 55% represents
every family that will go nuts before christmas.

Snippy said "rather" which means he has to shop for shit for
some persons. I sense Snippy and I are on the same page...
the December page. I guess if one is in opposition to the
holiday and you have the guts to breakaway from it
entirely. Seems there always enough "family tradition"
for better or worse that makes you "go along with it".
