OK.. my "closed thread" pix taken saturday march 9. A lot of running around parts of Everett with no "train activity". An "INTEVE" (Interbay-Everett) shows up on the Sea-Line lite power to Delta Yard. The "Sea-Line" (Seattle-Line) is a big "horseshoe curve" from P.A. Junction in which all the Amtrak traffic to Vancouver BC and most freight trains leaving Delta Yard South have to "get-up". Doesnt look like much but I"ve heard of a 1000 or more trains stalling-out on an standing still approach to climbing this uphill crescent. Sea-Line Jct is still a "manually-lined" switch. One way takes you up the hill an onward to the Emerald City which is the default setting. The lining toward the Lowell Running track is the other alignment for this switch. Seems to me that this switch should be under dispatcher control but year after year for the last 40 years, it's the dispatcher giving a train permission to pass a red signal down the Sea-Line.
