Man this is weird! All day the news broadcasts have been about this new pope. He's an outsider, in that he's NOT from Europe, but the "Americas," that is Latin America. And he's a Jesuit!

He's taken the name of Francis, as in Saint Francis of Assisi. One who lived in poverty, and worked with the poorest of the poor...

This new pope has lived his life akin to these simple principles, choosing ta travel by public transport, bus, instead of having a limo drive him around... And flying economy class when called ta Rome for church business.

He was not considered a 'front-runner' for this new job. But the guy did garner 2/3 of the cardinals votes... So there it is. The newest pope. Francis the First.
