...bought a news paper couple days ago at the local gas-n-go... Grabbed a candy bar ta make it over a buck, 'cause I handed the clerk a fiver... She handed me a $2.00 bill (Jefferson), and some change... (2009 series $2.00)

Fuck me blind! When was the last time you received a deuce as change?

The customer immeadiately ahead of you gave it to her. She don't have a special place for 2 dollar bills, so she handed it off to you just to get rid of it.

I thought I gave all my $2 bills to my nephew for his
birthday a few years ago but I found another stash
hidden underneath a seat cushion that I dont remember
putting there. Well good for me but they are only
worth 2 bucks. Probly still hangon to them for a while
and see if they may reach $3 some day.

What Thunderman is on about... The one dollar Canadian/Canadien dollar, called the looney, or loonie because of the image of a loon (the bird) on the coin... And the two dollar coin, called a toonie (?) or twooney, or twoonie... Whatever! They're close to our dollar in value...

Growing up in Bham in the 60's-70's you never wanted
anything to do with Canadian Coins. But with a lot of
Canadians coming down to shop all the time Canadian
Coins were always in the mix. Places you shop would
always try to get rid of a Canadian nickel-dime-quarter
in your change and most of the time succeeded.
Canadian coins were never "vending-machine-friendly"
in Bham. Seemed the coin-changers could always
recognize a Canadian coin. So many persons ended
up with quite a "change-dish" of Canadian coins.
I still have one. The Canadian coins have been par
with US currency for quite while and now its dipped
to about 96 cents the last couple years. I remember
when it was 76-77 cents...back when I had no idea
why.
