Pretty decent for the GPNW. Not so good for Pipesylvania. Snippylandia? Anybody really give a rat's ass? Nope!

I'm glad the weather "changed at all". Been one hot summer
in the GPNW. I'm wise enough to stay mostly inside when its
a couple back to back 87 degree days and August has had a
lot of 80+ degree days. I only have so much sweat in my
system so I'm picky at what temps oustside when I try to
ketchup on many delayed projects outside. Mowed the lawn
today and it was only 77 degrees. Still soaked shirt in
an honest hours work. The Labber Day Weekend looks to
be "nice temps" and maybe some showers. World of Outlaw
Sprintcars at Skagit Speedway Fri-Sat..and of course a chance
of rain. Just doesnt seem right.

Every place I've looked says that the Seattle Wa area has greater than a 70 per cent probability of rain All three days Of the holiday. That hardly sounds decent to me.

Its been a while since any rain has fallen and some mixed
wishes for nice holiday weekend with fun in the Sun or take
what rain we can get at this point in time. The rain I've had
splat on my bare head has been of the mist/lite rain and for
maybe 10-15 minutes..just enough to turn the dirt dark or
the street dark and then it ends. Not much to measure.
Same trend Saturday Sunday. Labor Day weekend has the
Sun oppose Neptune influence which could mean some dreary
weather or a little moisture in your life..either from the clouds
or from your tear ducts.

Good news from Skagit Speedway Friday night as Donny Schatz
wins the WOO main event. They got the race in. Saturday Night
same odds with the weather.

An 800-pound paper airplane with a 45-foot wingspan was launched in March 2012 in Arizona.

I dont know what that has to with anything Uke and does qualify
as "off-topic". Back to the topic...GPNW weather this La"boring"
Weekend..most of the Saturday morning hours were wet and
grey and the sun poked out just for a few minutes at times
late in the afternoon. I've been keeping the high temperature
of the day from my backporch thermometer all Summer on
my "Alaskan Railroad 2014 Calendar" hanging on a wall.
August 14th had a 69 degree reading and a very similiar
weather pattern we got going right now as Saturday Aug
30th..same 69 degrees. First signs of Fall Weather perhaps
but I think any time you have a Sun/Neptune aspect that
its going to change the weather for atleast a week. The
GPNW is going to rebound to more "end of the Summer "
weather and we've had a lot of Summer already to the point
of drought.

The weather co-operated with Skagit Speedway this weekend
as the WOO Sprintcars got both shows in and Donny Schatz
won both nights. Donny Schatz is well on his way to win the
2014 points title. Good for Skagit Speedway getting these
races in. Their bank account should be in good shape after
the WOO is done here.

A few showers early this morn... Long term forecast from the guy who know:Cliff Mass, our very own local guru, who also teaches 'atmospheric sciences' at UW... His prediction? Not bad, and summer ain't over yet!

Hah!

Snippy you must know by now that you cant "band Uke".
Uke and I can verify weather and since we get the same
weather its good to have two eye-witnesses when the weather
starts getting weird. I love Cliff Mass and his voice and his
weather wisdom. Why isnt he on a local TV station weather
team? The weather and the celestial weather..all going on
at once. The celestial weather has quite an influence on the
weather we wake up to tomorrow and hence simply having
an astrolgy calendar for the current month hanging right next
to your computer so that you have to look at it a lot and you
can see the month at once and you can see times ahead.
That Sun oppose Neptune aspect exact on Friday really set
the tone for the Laborius Day weekend. Also sends out the
signal to my "woodman" its time for his fleet of old Ford
pickup trucks to bring my winter wood supply. Should be
good for doing wood as no "record-breaking" temps in
sight for a while.

Okay, so this post wasn't exactly 'on-topic.' But without atmospheric conditions, i.e; wind direction, velocity, possible shear effect,  the paper plane launch may not have been possible!

But owing to up to the minute weather reporting, the plane was successfully launched!
