Not much happens in "The Great White (Always Frozen) North", but when it does happen, it will be reported at bj.com by your field correspondents!

That's tu bad, really.

Hell of a way to get your little piece of

the world on the map. Some solvent huffing

wingnut with a hunting rifle, no doubt. Very sad story.

Not a Manchurian candidate, surely has seen enough school shootings on TV the
last few years to plant some seed as to even think of doing something like this.

With tightly regulated gun laws in Canada, it's hard to see this happening.

It's just as easy to kill someone with a pump 12 gaugeshotgun used for birds as it is with a AR platform rifle . To me it proves that a mental health component is needed in firearms laws and at the end of the day where there is a wil there is a way. Rest in peace those poor folks.

I'm one who thinks there is no law that can put the genie back in the bottle.

There's a different mentality among populations.

Just like there is between the US and Honduras.

Firearm-related death rate per 100,000 population per year

Homicides:

Canada ____0.51 (2007-2011)

US______ __3.55 (2013)

Honduras__66.64 (2013)

Pretty sure there may be similar results on the US population of indigenous peoples as well. That just may take a bit of digging however. Meanwhile a state-by-state analysis of gun caused deaths, divided by political persuasion may show another startling statistic.

Perhaps we won't be surprised.

Watched the CBC National News at 10pm and a story about the school shooting.
They interviewed a young woman...who looked liked an eskimo... meaning
"First Nation" or whatever you want to call it. To hear her speak or try to speak
was difficult because you'd think a high school student should be able to speak
better than that. So this town in SASK is hangout for less advance souls near as
I can figure. If you were an advanced soul you would never pick SASK to live.
Think also in the news presentation the CBC could only find 5-6 school shootings
in CA history.
