A guy was driving that? That a suburban hybrid, its a half soccer mom car, half bitter lesbian car. Where for example, the Honda Odyssey is 100% soccer mom and the CRV is 100% old lesbian.

Maybe two per day. None very fast, maybe 25-30. Some days none. AERC (Albany Eastern Rail Corp.) moves logs, finished lumber. chips, and plastic pellets. They interchange with the other two bigs. Uncle Pete, and 2LARRCO.

Sometimes they'll pull an excursion train over their ROW from Lebanon to Sweet Home, Mill City, or Albany. Ya gotta have hearing protection with all the grade crossings. (One outside my place tu).

Yeah Pipes. It appears to be a Jeep, or Chev of some sort... Was headed over when it first happened... Sheriff's deputy first on scene (except older guy in a Jeep and his wife) told me don't go anywhere near it because power lines and another pole further has been pulled over by weight of lines... We have power, but we're on the live side.

We await power company from Pacific Power in Albany. And it's raining hard now.

And the vehicle hasn't been moved. Power company has to assess the situation, shore up lines, etc., before pulling car out. It now supports the pole! This guy better have great insurance and a good attorney.

Its a Jeep Liberty, they had one in the yard up North that they rode till the wheels fell off. Despite what the ads say, Jeep Liberty's aren't about that life.

Power just came back on. Three or four crews from Pac Power. There was a big hold up on who was responsible for dealing with several issues. The car. Water filled* ditch where the pole snapped, and access for streets. Somebody called somebody... And the rain was getting worse. And the wind kicked up. Plus it was growing dark(er)!

Phone and cable are last in line. Electric power owns the poles, so they do their thing first. Phones (land lines), and we have plenty... Rural America folks. Next down, cable TV. Hardly anybody these days.

Never take electricity for granted again! All these guys deserve a huge round of applause! They're some of the best cats around. And they will be there in an emergency, whenever! Thankless job! Gonna drop a line to Pacific Power with the next bill, thanking 'em for a job well done, and safely!

*Big sucker truck was called in to pump the ditch. Then a big ass flatbed hauler got the car out. By then, power was cut to the area.

 How about lesbian Mom?

Anyway, I heard some factoid on the radio a couple weeks ago when I was between sleep and not sleep. Nobody has been killed in a Honda Odyssey models from 2009 to 2012, or something like that.

Well, anyway:

I can believe it.  It's hard to crash when you only drive Home-preschool-gym-grocery store-home-preschool-home.  Stay at home mom.......hardest job in the world says Oprah.

It is a hard job, especially when Dad's erratic, unpredictable, totally mystifying to outsiders, job screws up all aspects of what most people think of as a normal life. But, you already knew that.

Yeah, "working mom" was probably one of the greatest tricks ever pulled on the American people, along with the 30 mortgage and 5 year car loan. When I see the soccer mom in the Odyssey's I think "these are the women that figured out the con and bailed."
