Pay attention Pipes, because you might save a few bucks. Too much spent on all yer fancy brewing equipment can't  a better cup, unless ya try a few simple tips from the NY Times. To wit:

Kind of useful, and if the link worked it would be even better.

So, have we tried any of the above suggestions ? TW5k has.

I guess they assumed that anyone paying that kind of attention to

detail would know that quality beans with a degree of freshness

are also the first essential ingredient. It's hilarious now the Keurig

gadget insanity has got people paying $30 + lb. for mediocre grounds. yawn

Keurig sales are down, TW5K. A gimmick that may be past its prime although Cy's SIL keeps one in his office, where he makes a consistent three cups a day, so he tells us. We just gave him a bunch of Dunkin' Donuts dark roast, his fave. Thankfully, it wasn't hazelnut, at least.

That's quite the revelation about yourself Snippy and the ove for Hazelnut flavored
coffee. If you want the "best from Seattle" you need to go Starbucks. You tell me
if Hazelnut coffee from Starbucks isn't the best as you would know after the first cup.
Probly the most fanatical speech on coffee comes from Dennis Leary who was pretty ahead
of the rest finding coffee as a subject matter to have you laffing for 8 minutes.

If you happen to catch the TV show "Dangerous Grounds" in the last episode
Todd finds some coffee in Jamaica specially dried in a way to make for something
you pay $600LB...or not.

Thanks for the unlinked links ***. I've ginded millions of beans, in the end it always tasted the same as the starbucks and Seattle's Best.

"A scale instead of a scoop". Sorry, I'm not a hipster.

"Use a better brewer" The Areopress wins coffee championships. Nuff said.

Using the scale reminded me of this of this video, the most unintentional funny video ever made.

"weigh out the water, preheat the french press with the same hot water your making the coffee with, decant the coffee before serving"

Hate to imform ya Pipes, but Starbucks IS "Seattle's Best"! Yep. Starbucks bought Seattle's Best, lock, stock, and all the previously roasted beans. Why? Because fuckin' Howard Schultz could not bear another roaster/seller underfuckingcutting HIS coffee! Now when/if you purchase anything labeled Seattle's Best... Advise you ta read the label! It's the same ol' same ol'!

Buy whole bean coffee from your favorite coffee company. Grind the coffee beans yourself.
Sounds difficult but a Krupps spice grinder will do enough ground coffee for a couple days.
Store coffee beans and ground coffee in airtight containers. I mentioned the Melitta method
of making coffee has been my choice for a long time. Got a French Press, a stainless steel
perk pot, an espresso machine...but nothing beats a Melitta cup of coffee...especially when
you need to wake up. I usually add a heaping 1/8th cup of ground coffee to the paper filter cone.
If you really need to wake up quickly...you could add a 1/4th cup of ground coffee to the filter
cone...might want some cream in that cup. So I'm talking about making one cup of coffee at
a time...which is a cool way to do it. First you fill your mug with cold water and dump it into a
saucepan on your stovetop and heat to near boiling. Pour the hotwater into the cone filter
and within a minute you got a full cup of coffee. Need to also try coffee from different countries
other than Columbia South America. Have to admit I like Columbian coffee mainly because of
its "light roast" and from other coffee companies. "Columbian Supremo" used to refer to gold
weed from that country but now days its a good bet to buy from a bulk coffee dispenser.
I've tried coffee from all around the world thanks to Starbucks and it was a great experience
but once the vacation was over and back to everyday life you go with your favorite...some
supremo from Columbia.

OK...look what happened to my reply...its got these "&quot" things typed. I dint do that. Whats going on?

After this video I might want dig my French press out of retirement. One plus
right away from the way I've been making coffee lately...is not having to buy coffee filters.
Todd Carmichael is probly the most hard core coffee person on the planet.

Well that would explain why they taste exactly the same.  Thanks ***, now I'll just buy whichever ones cheaper.

Krink heres the clip I thought I posted earlier but I guess I pulled a *** and didnt link it.

How to over complicate something that was designed to be simple.

Funny Comment

Warndog
So I need whole beans, a grinder, a timer, and a french press... But do I still need the English degree or....
