This happens far tu often and something that always concerns me when driving four lane divided highways.  It happened at 10:30 in the AM and one has to wonder what the trucker was doing.  Alas, poor folks from the Equality State, driving along, minding their own business.

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - A crash along the Indiana Toll Road near the Indiana-Ohio state line has killed two people.

Police and medics were called around 10:30 a.m. to the 155 mile marker of the toll road on a report of a crash. Crews arrived to find a semi on fire, atop a vehicle.

Dispatchers told NewsChannel 15 that the semi was westbound on the toll road and somehow ended up in the eastbound lanes. In the process, dispatchers said the semi landed on an eastbound passenger vehicle.

The semi then caught fire, dispatchers said.

Two people in the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, dispatchers said. They have been identified as Diana Hicks, 65, and Jay Zell Sr., 63, both of Laramie, Wyoming.

The Steuben County Coroner's Office, Dr. Craig Nelson, and the St. Joe Hospital forensics team worked together to identify them using dental recognition.

The semi driver was not hurt.

The Indiana Toll Road's eastbound lanes will be closed for some time. One westbound lane was closed.

That's gotta make ya wonder about all the 18+ wheelers rolling along half stoned, or sleep-driving completely unaware of their surroundings. And then they end up atop a passenger car with two dead people inside, and his rig afire!

It's that midwest thing. A killing zone for sure. Couple hundred miles west of Chicago, alla way through till half way across Ohio,  Illinois, Indiana, into Pennsy eastbound on several interstates.

Thinkin' about heading up towards Superior/Daloot, then into Canuckistan and towards Niagara Falls/Detroit, thereby totally avoiding Chicago, and that mess. Cross upper NY state along Lake Erie, visit my third grade bestie who lives between Seneca and Cayoga Lakes. Below Geneva.

New Jersey my ultimate goal of course. Last of the real fambly. Aunt, and several cuzns tu!

Maybe, just maybe (If there's time, and one of 'em answers my call) a visit to BD, or BH en route east towards upper NY state.

My aunt Sylvia me, and my sis. I was maybe three or four. My sis was three years older. And cuz Ben and his mom Sylvia.

It does not. It goes south of Moab.

Everybody knows it's best to go north of the Great Lakes in the winter time. So you can get there by the third week of May on June ThirTeenth.

It is a long way, but you have time, unless you die on the way, then you are out of time, but then you don't have to worry about getting back, unless you rented the car...

Think about it this way, if you wreck the transmission driving it in second gear and then meet your demise in a wreck, they won't be able to come back on you for wrecking the transmission.

Here's the big diff... This is Uke's car. A 2012 Mustang, V-6, with a 6 speed manual gear box! A fun car to drive, really! And in highest-gear is eco-friendly... Like 28-32 MPG. Not bad for a little 6 engine!

Uke does not enjoy phlying!

***'s been through more cars and light trucks than Danica.

At least, it's a manual. "Snippy" still has never owned an automatic transmission.

Ove the Ford Escape tu, despite auto trans. That light truck/SUV runs a small-ish V6 tu. May attempt ta sell that one as *** hasn't driven it in four months or so... May trip over to the big Safeway supermarket lot with for sale signs on it. Thinking $8500-

Many +s, like a REALFULLsized spare tire, and jack/lug wrench kit. (Newer cars have neither!) Original owners manual, clear title, maintenance records, new headlights, undamaged/straight body.

A solid/good reliable vehicle! IUHO that iz!
