Maybe he should have picked something else to play with:
A man waiting for a haircut was killed Wednesday at his Brooksville home when his firearm accidentally discharged, deputies said.
According to the Hernando County Sheriffs Office, two men had just returned to a residence on Oakcrest Circle in Brooksville from a convenience store around 6:30 a.m. when one prepared to cut the others hair.
The man who was going to have his hair cut sat down on a bucket outside his bedroom door. As he waited for the haircut, he began playing with his firearm, as he always does, the other man told deputies. The firearm discharged, striking the man who had been holding it.
He was pronounced dead when the first deputy arrived on scene.
Further investigation revealed the possibility, if not the likelihood the man was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol at the time, investigators said.
Witness statements and forensic evidence indicate the incident was just a horrible accident, according to the Sheriffs Office.
The Sheriffs Office has not yet identified either man.
