Amtrak 14(28) on the ground near Moorpark CA

Not the way you want to start your train trip as Amtrak #14 "The Coast Starlate" hits a loaded water truck at a crude crossing and the train derails. One spokesman

said every car is derailed but no cars tipped over. Some minor injuries including Amtrak engineer. Truck driver jumped from his truck prior to impact but got injured.

Of course this creates a clusterfuck for Amtrak as trainsets cant get to LA and out of LA. Clean-up of this derailment may take extra time as we are dealing with

passenger cars that can still be "used again". No bulldoze the whole train to the side like a freight train. I've riddin' the Coast Starlight several times from Seattle

to LA. Probly the most popular Amtrak train going today.

Here is the video of them re-railing the train. Later a UP local hooked up to the train and all the cars and went to Oxnard Yard.
