Hit a big buck one time at speed, he went right under the engine, ballast and whatnot flying everywhere, scared the head brakeman on the second unit, he thought for sure we were on the ground. Uh, no, just making up a batch of ground-up deer.

Not as cold as Krinksville ( we're south by 300+ miles), which DOES matter, when observed realistically. Or standing outside in your underwear, which we do for fun once in a while, just because!

Early Sunday morning dumped 4-5" of snow and the Fraser River Outflow began.
"Modified Artic Air" as opposed to TW5K and FMB's "Unmodified Artic Air" and its been
cold out. Modified Artic air generally keeps it 20F or above but the ground and everything
is frozen so same difference. 26F at midnight under a clear and star filled sky and maybe
down to 20F. Another 1-3" snow forecasted for Wednesday afternoon/evening during rush
hour and a Venus conjunct Neptune aspect. Could be a tow truck drivers dream/nightmare.
I got supplies Tuesday afternoon when the roads were in the best shape in 3-days. Ready
to settle back into staying home for the next few waves of wintery weather to hit. Got lots
of black sunflower seeds....

Thanks in advance.

Yep...and you can have it! Uke remembers very well shoveling snow, and pushing neighbor's cars out of drifts, and plow burials parked on the street over night! Crashed cars, impassible roads, power outages for weeks, and more.

Life in the GPNW, especially Oregon, which might be wet (an understatement) but we're not buried up to our asses in snow! Fuck that schitt! New Jersey is a region that seems to get all the worst weather ever dreamed up.

Thanks Obama!

A string of cold/frosty nights up north of you Uke. Tonight might dip to 28F after a couple of 31F nights.
Open my bedroom drape to see everything white with frost in the morning. Same weather to Tuesday
when a weak band of moisture passes and leaves the GPNW with warmer days/nights for next 5 days.

Snow forecast for Thanksgiving, especially in the higher passes, and above 3000 ft. Should be interesting traveling over this weekend!

https://www.statesmanjournal.com/story/news/2018/11/19/snow-forecast-oregon-mountain-pass-government-camp-santiam-willamette/2030043002/

I'm not worried though, since I have absolutely no plans for travel further than 20 miles!

Thanksgiving Day in Western WA looking to be wet and wild and windy. Could be power outages with the passing squalls.
I recall several times in my history where storms knocked out power in the middle of cooking the turkey dinner. With MIR
I bet getting T-dinner on the table comes with some difficulties.
