They must still be good for switching! We still use an SD-9 in Allouez switching taconite cars. The blue card say built in 1951, complete with cast iron brake shoes that make cool spark shows at night!

I wouldn't set foot near one unless it had a windshield heater and coffee cup holders. If I spilt coffee on my alligator shirt, I'd just die!

Even if they are the best mother fucking locomotives ever built!

Damn Bucket, that one's a genuine antique! Almost as old as Uke! Just kiddin' of course...everyone knows Uke's just a kid!

But...is that one numbered in the 6100 series, or has it been renumber as a 1700?

I believe it used to be the 6128, and was renumbered 17XX.  The cab is huge, and that automatic is weird tu. I think I seen on in a steam engine before! It's completely separate from the control stand.

OMG, Snippy. Completely separate? Could it be? I wonder if Tu has ever heard of such shit? I wonder if Uke ever saw such shit in the early times of his CNJ days? You don't suppose its got a 6 brake valve on it, does it?  Look at that nice seat, Snippy.

Frank waits at the controls of Great Western 914 in the Loveland Yard, October 29, 2002.

I'm horrified. Well, my ears are still ringing. Those are some loud mofo's.

"Boy, if you don't lap that thing, we'll be dead in the water and you'll be in a world of shit."

Wasn't that air loud. Oh, my ears hurt just thinking about it, I can remember leaning out the window just to get away from it.

You'd lap them and they'd leak off. Real rails in those days!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Snippy was trying to show us that he is actually human, Apple and all.  Or maybe not.
